William Powell 12-Bore Sidelock Ejector.

A William Powell 12-Bore sidelock ejector with 28inch replacement nitro barrels by the makers in 1965.

Rib engraved 'WILLIAM POWELL & SON. 35-37. CARRS LANE. BIRMINGHAM.' and gold-inlaid number '2' at the breech end.

2 1/2 inch chambers bored approx 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, toplever gold-inlaid number '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail.

Fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright and re-blued finish.

15 inch well figured stock, weight 6lb,7oz.

In its makers brass-cornered oak and leather case with full accessories.

Provenance:

The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1909 for an A. Innes of Newry, Ireland as No.2 of a pair. The makers also confirm that the barrels were replaced by them in 1965
