An excellent example of the guns produced by Birmingham gun-maker William Palmer-Jones. This gun features fine scroll and rose engraving on the action with scallop edges and games scenes on either side as shown in the pictures below.
The top-lever has the maker’s name inlaid in gold. Much of the gun's original colour case hardening is retained on one of the best single-trigger boxlocks we have come across for some time.
The well-figured walnut stock has a gold oval and a best silvers recoil pad fitted, tear drop and sharp chequering.
30" barrels with 2½" chambers, Improved cylinder x ¾ chokes.
Well figured stock 15½inch.
